March 2003, Gary Nield, Luke Travis and John Fielding formed a company called
Instream Partnership.
Gary Nield, a service user receiving Direct Payments in Rochdale, has for many years consulted and advised a wide range of people around all aspects of Independence, His work with the National Development Team has produced the publications ‘Selecting a Personal Assistant’ and ‘Becoming a Personal Assistant’. Luke Travis has been Gary’s Personal Assistant for 8 years. Having helped Gary and many others with the fight for independent living, Luke’s knowledge is extensive. John Fielding has been Gary’s Personal Assistant for over 2 years. After many conferences and meetings John has formed a great interest in PA recruitment and support.
Our mission is to train and support people using or wanting to use Direct Payments, along with other funding such as ILF93, Access to Work etc. to enable them to gain independence, respect, dignity, and empowerment. We set up PAmatch.co.uk to provide information about people who would like to work as Personal Assistants. The information contained has been volunteered by the individuals, and Instream Partnership take no responsibility for it. Instream Partnership
